Sales Team Mentor/Leader
This role is responsible for the entry level development of sales and operational skills within onboarding & operational functions of Freight Dispatch Agent, Freight Agent, & Customer Service team. Team Leaders is taking the steps to potentially get in Leadership and are responsible for getting Dispatchers, Freight Agents, Customer Service, Compliance teams trained and developing the skills to help manage a regions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee developmental skills of new Carrier Sales Reps
- Monitor call volume and carrier development numbers
- Teach proper carrier qualification and sales techniques
- Perform applicable HR and administrative duties
- Conduct monthly reviews
- Monitor and communicate market and capacity trends
- Proactively shift carrier development needs when applicable
- Provide instruction on how to properly develop:
- High volume lanes
- Customer opportunities
- Problem lanes
- Niche markets
- Targeted carriers
- New carrier set-ups
- Lead & Conduct team meetings
Qualifications:
- Associate’s, bachelor’s degree or Higher
- 2+ years Sales of experience
- Logistics background experience but not required
- Display a fundamental approach to load board management
- Aid team members where needed
- Have leadership experience or willing to be trained
